Yorkshire Dales Farmhouse Renovation

HISTORIC FARMHOUSE RENOVATIONS

The owners of this farmhouse, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, appointed us to work on some renovations to their historic home.

Our first job was to remove the rendering to the exterior of the house, we added new stone features around the windows and door frames, re-rendered, then replaced the old windows and doors with new.

The interior involved a full ‘back to stone’ renovation, updating the insulation, installing underfloor heating and replastering. A bespoke new kitchen was fitted and glazed bi-fold doors added to the dining area to make the most of the beautiful Dales views, allowing the clients to seamlessly link their indoor and outdoor space. The project also included a new boot room, utility area and sauna / shower room.

Outside, the landscaping incorporated a driveway and car parking area. New dry stone walls were built, 350m2 of stone flagging laid and a timber canopy constructed over the patio area.
